About The Position

Performs work as part of a team in an industrial laundry facility. The role is responsible for the safe, expeditious, and accurate handling of merchandise into and/or out of the laundry facility. Work takes place in a warehouse setting and may involve outside weather conditions, extreme heat and cold, dust, and noise. The position involves repetitive motions throughout an entire shift and requires bending, reaching, pulling, twisting, lifting, grasping, and other hand manipulations, as well as standing and walking for long periods. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Requirements

• Ability to understand required training and written and verbal instructions.
• Working knowledge of basic math skills.
• Good verbal and/or written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to meet the attendance schedule.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions throughout an entire shift.
• Ability to bend, reach, pull, twist, and lift.
• Ability to use hands for grasping and other manipulations.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Stage carts in the lift table, secure the safety chain, and raise the table.
• Fold linen, aprons, towels, table napkins, and/or fender or seat covers.
• Identify and segregate merchandise that does not meet specified quality standards, including items with rips, tears, holes, or stains.
• Accurately verify merchandise quantities and bundle items by type.
• Place bundles in the correct storage bins, carts, or on shelves.
• Maneuver full and empty baskets.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment and observe best practices in production activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
