About The Position

Atlas Molded Products is seeking a Production Associate for its Kansas City, Kansas Shape facility. The role assists with production, inspection, and packaging of products, as well as cleanup of scrap material. The associate is expected to understand manufacturing processes, quality standards, equipment operations, safety requirements, and departmental procedures. Duties may vary slightly across divisions and locations, and other duties may be assigned. Employees must perform each essential function satisfactorily; reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

Requirements

• General understanding of manufacturing processes, quality standards, equipment operations, safety requirements, and departmental procedures.
• Ability to use simple math, count, and use basic handheld measuring tools.
• Ability to push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 pounds and safely operate assigned machinery.
• Must complete required supervisor verification and procedure sign-off within two months of hire.
• Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance is required.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and package parts according to specification pages and record required information on in-process sheets.
• Bundle, wrap, stack, pack, assemble, and/or label materials according to production instructions.
• Operate side-wrappers and pallet jacks.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and clean up scrap material.
• Operate Pre-breakers and re-grinding equipment to recycle EPS.
• Follow general safety requirements and quality-system procedures.
• Complete supervisor verification and sign-off on procedures needed to fulfill job requirements within two months of hire.
• Maintain regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
• Perform other assigned functions and responsibilities.
