About The Position
The Production Associate sets up and operates automatic or semiautomatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production or processing operation. The role produces complicated components, subassemblies, and final assemblies from blueprints and work instructions, and maintains accurate records and logs while collecting data for Engineering. The position reports to the Production Supervisor and is based on-site in Cortland, New York. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of production or manufacturing experience.
- Ability to stand, sit, stoop, bend, walk, reach, squat, kneel, push, and pull for at least 8 hours.
- Ability to lift, move, or carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate equipment in the assigned area to produce components, subassemblies, and final assemblies from blueprints and work instructions.
- Work under the direction of supervisors or more experienced personnel, with little supervision.
- Maintain accurate records and logs, and collect necessary data for Engineering.
