About The Position

Silgan is hiring a Production Associate for its New Castle, Pennsylvania facility. The role supports production of caps by maintaining production lines, inspecting product, monitoring automated equipment, and preparing finished boxes for shipment. Employees are assigned to one steady shift in a plant that operates three shifts, seven days per week. The position pays $16.00–$20.00 per hour plus shift differential, with overtime available.

This role is performed in a fast-paced manufacturing environment described as clean, safe, and temperature controlled. The position requires frequently carrying product boxes weighing 15–35 pounds a short distance to stack them on pallets. Filled boxes can weigh up to 32 pounds and are stacked six to seven high. Paid lunch and rest breaks are provided.

Requirements

• Ability to frequently transport boxes weighing between 15 and 35 pounds a short distance from the line to a pallet.
• Ability to perform the position's duties proficiently.

Responsibilities

• Maintain assigned production lines and conduct periodic inspections to ensure caps meet quality requirements.
• Monitor automated lines to ensure caps feed properly into boxes.
• Periodically re-thread labels, fill ink and liner, and unjam caps.
• Label filled boxes correctly and stack them on pallets.
• Follow job-related instructions and perform other related duties requested by a supervisor.
