About The Position

Silgan is hiring Production Associates for its New Castle, Pennsylvania facility. Production Associates maintain production lines with cartons, seal and stack finished products, and visually inspect caps. Employees are assigned to one steady shift at a plant that operates three shifts, seven days per week. The role is in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and includes paid lunch and rest breaks. The workplace is described as clean, safe, and temperature controlled.

Requirements

• Ability to frequently transport boxes of product weighing between 15 and 35 pounds a short distance from the line to a pallet.
• Ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position proficiently.

Responsibilities

• Perform periodic inspections to ensure assigned production lines produce quality caps.
• Monitor automated lines to ensure caps feed properly into boxes.
• Re-thread labels, fill ink and liners, and clear cap jams as needed.
• Label filled boxes and stack them on pallets.
• Follow job-related instructions and perform other duties requested by a supervisor.
