About The Position

The Production Associate (Picker/Packer) inspects, bands, and shrink-wraps stacks of finished labels and assembles and packs boxes of finished labels for shipment. The role is responsible for meeting safety, production, sustainability, and quality standards and working with other departments to support the company’s core strategies. This is an entry-level role intended to provide opportunities to grow into other positions within the company. Duties may also include facility housekeeping, such as painting and cleaning, travel as necessary, and other assigned work.

Requirements

• Able to stand for the full shift.
• Positive attitude.
• Able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Able to perform frequent walking.
• Able to stand, use hands to feel and touch, reach with arms and hands, talk, and hear.
• Occasionally able to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Vision requirements include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect finished labels to ensure quality.
• Band and shrink-wrap stacks of finished labels.
• Assemble corrugated boxes or trays.
• Pack finished labels in boxes for shipment.
• Stack boxes on pallets for shipment.
• Complete required documentation accurately and promptly.
• Operate a pallet jack.
• Comply with facility safety policies and procedures, work instructions, and applicable regulations, including ISO, GMA SAFE, and HAACP.
• Interact and behave professionally, treat associates respectfully, and maintain the company code of ethics.
• Maintain daily housekeeping, which may include painting and cleaning the facility interior and exterior.
• Travel as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
