About The Position

The Production Associate Level 1 safely operates and manages different machines and equipment used in Moldtech’s parts production process. This is a 2nd shift position with a work schedule of Monday through Friday, 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm.

Requirements

  • Comfortable with hand tools, presses, or basic machinery.
  • Ability to work with little supervisor intervention.
  • Basic troubleshooting ability.
  • Intermediate understanding of materials, recognizing different types of rubber and their basic curing properties.
  • Proficient with tools and equipment, confident using hand tools, presses, and basic measurement devices (calipers, gauges).
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs at a time.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, using tools, and performing repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Operates and manages different machines and equipment used in parts production.
  • Produces the required quantity of parts within established specifications and tolerances.
  • Measures completed parts using precision tools to ensure they meet functional, quality, and cosmetic specifications.
  • Maintains logs and records of units produced, including errors.
  • Inspects equipment before use, performs basic routine adjustments and maintenance.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Follows standard operating procedures with minimal supervision.
  • Recognizes mold or machine issues and knows when to escalate.
  • Communicates issues to supervisors and collaborates with coworkers.
  • May assist in orienting or mentoring new employees on basic tasks and procedures.
  • Accepts coaching constructively and applies it.
  • Actively asks questions, volunteers for new part numbers, and learns about additional presses.
  • Engages in learning post-molding, trimming, or other supportive functions.
  • Takes responsibility for individual output and strives to prevent downtime or errors.
