About The Position

Georgia-Pacific is hiring motivated, detail-oriented Production Associates at its West Chester, Ohio facility. Production Associates safely operate machines to meet plant production and quality goals. Employees who develop the knowledge and skills needed for the position may have opportunities for advancement.

The facility is currently hiring for second shift, but candidates must be flexible and available to work first, second, or third shift as needed. Orientation takes place on first shift, after which employees are assigned their permanent shift. The role includes overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed. Starting pay is $23.00 per hour and up depending on experience, with a $2.00-per-hour second-shift differential. Compensation may increase based on skills and contribution to plant performance. The facility uses a point-based attendance program.

Requirements

• Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, agricultural, warehouse, or military environment.
• Flexibility and availability to work first, second, or third shift as needed, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.

• Experience using a computer, tablet, or smart device.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment according to defined standards and product specification targets.
• Monitor and/or enter information into computer control systems.
• Produce work that meets established quality requirements and ensure the quality and accuracy of work performed.
• Maintain a commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Perform basic asset-care duties, including routine preventive maintenance and cleaning the work area.
• Work as part of a team to meet or exceed production, waste, quality, and safety goals.
• Operate and/or work around mobile equipment.
• Follow safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment.
• Perform physical tasks including lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and pulling for up to 12 hours a day in a loud, industrial, high-volume environment.
