About The Position

Cornerstone Building Brands is hiring a Production Associate for its Rome, New York site. The role supports production by packaging and labeling materials for loading and distribution, checking finished products for quality, and coordinating with team members to keep production moving with minimal waste. The position involves using hand tools and measuring equipment and maintaining housekeeping and sanitation standards.

The scheduled shift is Monday through Thursday, 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM. Shifts may last 10 or 12 hours depending on the day's work orders and the season, and overtime may be available. Starting base pay is $19.50 per hour, with a $1.00 shift differential.

Requirements

• Experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
• Physical stamina and strength.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work, and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment.
• Ability to continually lift up to 50 pounds above shoulder height and below the waist.
• Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with overhead crane operations is helpful but not required.
• Forklift experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Package and label material for loading and distribution.
• Perform quality control checks on finished products.
• Use hand tools, wrenches, banding equipment, and screw guns.
• Use measuring gauges and tape measures.
• Communicate with team members to support continuous production of the correct product at high quality, while minimizing wasted time and materials.
• Maintain housekeeping and sanitation.
