About The Position

The Production Associate I at Cornerstone Building Brands Aperture Solutions performs a range of window and door assembly operations. The role focuses on safely producing quality products, minimizing waste and cost, and helping ensure products are delivered to customers on time. The associate maintains material flow throughout the plant and works with urgency while following standardized operations and customer-demand production rates. The position involves assembling, lifting, picking, and packing products; operating hand and power tools; following standard work, safety practices, and cleanup schedules; and supporting quality, continuous improvement, and employee engagement. Associates may work in different positions and departments, assist with coworker training, and perform other plant duties as directed by supervision or management. The listed pay rate is $16 per hour. The job is permanent and on the first shift.

Requirements

Ability to read tape measures and interpret fractions and decimals.
Ability to read at least the minimum level of word and number recognition and use visual cues.
Ability to operate power tools with dexterity, understand basic operations, and know when to change PPE.
Ability to identify hazards and understand station-specific safety hazards, protocols, and PPE.
Knowledge of measurement standards and tolerances.
Ability to follow instructions and Standard Work, frequently referring to Standard Work instructions.
Knowledge of product defects specific to the workstation and station quality requirements/CTQ.
Effective communication skills, including active listening, clear and accurate explanations, asking questions, and sharing important information.
Time management skills and awareness of cycle times.
Ability to wear required PPE, including metatarsal shoes, arm guards, ear protection, and safety glasses.
Dependability, punctuality, and attention to detail.
Ability to bend, squat, twist, push/pull, reach, and stand.
Ability to consistently lift at least 50 pounds for 8 to 12 hours a day.
Ability to work in hot and cold environments.
Ability to work extended hours and weekends based on business needs.
Ability to perform repetitive motions and stand for long periods.
Ability to comply with company policies and procedures, including safety regulations.
Ability to follow supervisors’ instructions and directions.
Problem-solving, teamwork, communication, and initiative.
Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.

Nice To Haves

Preferred knowledge of WTS Paradigm and various ERP functionality.
