About The Position

Atlas Molded Products is seeking a Production Associate for the first shift at its Byron Center, Michigan facility. The role involves supporting manufacturing operations, inspecting and packaging parts, following production and safety instructions, operating assigned equipment, and maintaining an organized work area. The position requires light to moderate physical effort throughout the shift, including lifting up to 50 pounds and tolerating temperature changes.

Requirements

General understanding of manufacturing processes, quality standards, equipment operations, safety requirements, and departmental procedures.
Ability to use simple math, count, and use basic hand-held measuring tools.
Ability to push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to perform the described physical activities and tolerate temperature changes for the entire shift.
Must be trained and familiar with general safety.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Responsibilities

Report to the manager at the start of the shift to receive direction for the day.
Inspect and package parts according to specification pages and record required information on in-process sheets.
Bundle, wrap, stack, pack, assemble, and/or label materials according to production instructions.
Operate side-wrappers and pallet jacks.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Operate Pre-breaks/Re-Grinding equipment to recycle EPS, following training and procedures.
Follow general safety requirements and departmental procedures.
Safely operate assigned machinery.
