About The Position

We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder Fabricator to join a team specializing in the repair and fabrication of steel containers and industrial compactors. This is a full-time position requiring high-quality workmanship, with mandatory overtime during the busy season. The role helps maintain and repair critical equipment to ensure efficient and safe operation, using maintenance tracking tools and technology to support productive operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Proficiency in MIG welding techniques.
• Experience with hydraulics repair and metal fabrication.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Ability to climb and stoop.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of 5 years of experience (preferred).
• AA degree in Welding Technology.
• Welding certification.
• AWS/CWI certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding repairs on steel containers and compactors, including hydraulics, structural components, damaged walls, rusted floors, and cracked metal structures.
• Assist the lead fabricator with custom fabrication and assembly projects.
• Use torch-burning and plasma-cutting tools to prepare materials and complete repair tasks.
• Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment to move materials and components safely within the worksite.
• Monitor, document, and report work progress using maintenance tracking systems.
• Ensure repairs meet safety and quality standards.
• Follow safety protocols and company policies while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
