About The Position

The Salvation Army is seeking a professional and courteous Production Assistant/Driver for its Adult Rehabilitation Center. The driver transports materials to and from specified destinations, represents The Salvation Army, serves donors, and helps maintain efficient operations. The role includes local pickup and delivery routes, supporting beneficiaries in work therapy goals through training and mentoring, and assisting with loading and unloading as needed. The position pays $18.37 and is full-time at 40 hours per week.

Requirements

High school degree or equivalent.
At least two years of licensed driving experience.
Pass a pre-employment DOT screen, drug test, and background check.
Strong English communication skills.
Basic computer skills, including use of a payroll system.
Proficiency with mobile applications.
Basic math skills.
Excellent manual dexterity.
Professional demeanor and customer service orientation.
Valid driver's license.
Clear motor vehicle record (MVR).
Successful completion of required testing.

Responsibilities

Follow scheduled routing procedures efficiently.
Drive a Salvation Army truck for pickups and deliveries.
Ensure the security and safe handling of goods and materials.
Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Maintain equipment in excellent working order.
Comply with DOT and OSHA regulations.
Represent The Salvation Army professionally and treat donors courteously and respectfully.
Communicate the donation acceptance policy to donors.
Report pickup problems to the dispatcher.
Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with the ARC dress code.
Use the DSS program and assigned iPad apps effectively.
Support beneficiaries in work therapy goals through training and mentoring.
Load and unload trucks as needed.
Wear assigned personal protective equipment, including gloves, masks, and a back guard.
Report safety or security concerns immediately.
