About The Position

Intel Foundry’s Logic Technology Development (LTD) develops and perfects process technology nodes. The senior LTD Product Yield Development Engineer delivers test and analysis solutions for LTD Yield and partners with design groups to develop methods and strategies for improving product yield. The role focuses on identifying systematic yield issues, developing analytical methods, debugging process/product interactions, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet production yield targets. The position requires onsite presence and is based primarily in Hillsboro, Oregon, with additional locations in Phoenix, Arizona; Albuquerque, New Mexico; and Austin, Texas.

Requirements

PhD in electrical engineering, computer science, VLSI design, or physics, and at least 1 year of experience in the advanced-node semiconductor industry in semiconductor yield or product engineering; alternatively, a master's degree in one of these fields and at least 3 years of such experience.

Responsibilities

Formulate yield problems mathematically, identify solutions, and remove technical and non-technical barriers by influencing stakeholders.
Identify root causes of systematic yield issues and propose mitigation plans within defined timelines to meet committed production yield targets.
Develop new yield analysis methods and algorithms to deliver world-class yield analytics.
Work with design business units to debug new and novel process/product interactions.
Develop, organize, and present yield strategies to LTD leadership.
Collaborate with Program Managers, Process Integration, Device Integration, and Defect teams to identify yield detractors and yield enhancement opportunities.
