About The Position

Halter is seeking a Product Training Specialist to ensure customer-facing teams have in-depth product knowledge. This role involves owning the ongoing product knowledge of new and existing hires across Support, Onboarding, and Go-to-Market (GTM) teams. You will be responsible for creating training content, conducting training sessions, assessing competency, and identifying knowledge gaps. The goal is to ensure that every rancher and their animals have the best possible experience with the Halter product. This position is ideal for someone who believes training is a direct reflection of customer care and wants to contribute to an innovative agtech company.

  • An AI-first mindset and curiosity about leveraging AI in training.
  • Comfort working on a ranch and around livestock.
  • Genuine interest in ranching and agtech, including hardware, software, animal behavior, and farm operations.
  • Proven ability to execute and get things done.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with Support, Onboarding, Customer Success, or field-based GTM teams.
  • Experience in creating training collateral such as written guides, assessments, short videos, or visual explainers.
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles.
  • Ability to use data to identify knowledge gaps.
  • Experience or exposure to agtech, farming, or complex technical products.

Responsibilities

  • Build and run the new starter training program for all new customer-facing hires (Onboarding, Support, GTM), including on-farm and R&D ranch camps.
  • Own the seasonal training calendar to ensure the training program stays relevant to changing ranching seasons.
  • Develop training content, including modules, assessments, and tests for the full product suite (collar behavior, virtual fencing, app workflows).
  • Collaborate with Product and Product Marketing teams to prepare training materials for new product releases.
  • Manage ongoing education to ensure teams' knowledge evolves with product updates and new features.
  • Work with Customer Enablement to understand customer feedback and challenges, ensuring internal teams have superior product knowledge.
  • Conduct competency assessments for new and existing team members, providing constructive feedback.
  • Stay closely connected with teams by participating in support calls, joining ranch visits, and speaking with team leads to identify knowledge gaps.
  • Maintain and update learning pathways, content, and assessments as the product evolves.
  • Explore and implement AI solutions to enhance training efficiency and focus human effort on critical areas.
