About The Position

The Product Training Manager will be responsible for supervising the curriculum management and implementation of courseware within the Learning Management System (LMS) for Product training within the U.S. CDJRFA dealer network. This role involves collaborating with the Creative design team on course material development, reviewing training materials as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), and managing product curriculum updates. The manager will also create, manage, measure, and maintain Sales and Product Training certification requirements for various roles across multiple brands, serve as the lead contact for Commercial Curriculum, and manage a national team of contract Product Specialist Team members.

Requirements

  • Minimum of Undergraduate degree – BA or BS
  • Strong Project Management skills
  • Strong oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills
  • Proven experience with management of a large team (i.e. 20 + employees)
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • High level of professionalism; self-directed and motivated
  • Strong computer skills with emphasis on using Microsoft Suite of Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access). Familiarity with AI usage and opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the curriculum management and implementation/deployment of courseware within our Learning Management System (LMS) for Product training within the U.S. CDJRFA dealer network (28,000+ retail automotive students)
  • Collaborate with the Creative design team on the development of course materials, including Meeting Leaders Guides, Participant Reference Guides, web scripts, supporting resources and PowerPoint/audio/video/media support for product-based courses
  • Assist in the review of Product training materials as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and include trainers, as needed, to ensure course relevance and accuracy
  • Manage and plan for product curriculum updates, evolution and modifications throughout the year to ensure curricula relevance and correlation to learner requirements
  • Create, manage, measure and maintain the Sales and Product Training certification requirements for Sales Professionals, Sales Managers, and other support roles within the Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram and FIAT brands
  • Lead contact for Commercial Curriculum – Sales Manager and Consultant
  • Manage the Hiring/Development of a National team of 20+ contract Product Specialist Team members
  • Work with Curriculum Manager on the implementation of new courses within the Product training Consultant and Manager curricula as required, including identification of course requirements, pre-requisites, and related/interdependent courseware as defined by curriculum requirements
  • Review materials for consistency of Corporate/Department/Brand messaging throughout course library
  • Provide ongoing identification of underperforming/outdated training courses and content and offer recommendations for improvement as required
  • Facilitate consensus between development and delivery teams for course objective compliance, relation to Customer Experience indicators and proper brand message delivery
  • Assist in the development of assessments and measures to analyze and improve training effectiveness of the various modalities within the curricula
  • Research and recommend appropriate training and performance solutions as required; seek innovative new methods for improving product training implementation (e.g., Retail network Podcasts)
  • Benchmark other automotive manufacturer's training rewards, recognition, practices and curricula to derive "best practices" for consideration within our strategies
  • Communicate effectively and often with various stakeholders including Content Development Team, all levels of Executive Management, Off-site Contract Trainers, Contract Suppliers and LMS Operations/Measurement Team members.
  • Support Sales/After Sales Training Manager in the daily operational measures for field team including days worked, expenses, efficiency/effectiveness metrics
  • Design and deliver T3 (train-the-trainer) programs to develop, coach and enhance field trainer on-going improvement
  • Develop a network of brand team, product planning and engineering contacts to proactively support training content inclusion and field team development
  • Prepare and present training recommendations for executive leadership and/or facilitate special training sessions for corporate or field audience.
