Grizzly Industrial, Inc. is seeking a Product Training Specialist for an immediate opening in their Bellingham, WA facility. The Product Training Specialist will be responsible for establishing rapport with internal and external customers, developing and delivering internal training programs for new woodworking and metalworking machinery, creating and maintaining training materials, coordinating cross-department training schedules, translating technical concepts, operating and evaluating machines hands-on, providing high-level assistance for escalated machine questions, collaborating with Product Managers, Engineers, and factories, reviewing technical documentation, supporting the Technical Documentation team, adhering to safety protocols, and utilizing collaboration tools.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of two years’ hands-on woodworking and/or metalworking machine troubleshooting experience in a Customer Service or Production environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with common mechanical components (gears, bearings, belts, alignment, etc.).
  • Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to present to groups and create clear documentation.
  • Computer literacy including Microsoft Office and Teams; comfortable using basic media tools for training materials.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and follow through diligently.
  • Be detail-oriented and organized to ensure accurate documentation and reporting.
  • Strong customer service skills

Nice To Haves

  • Associate (AA) degree or certification in a mechanical, electrical, industrial, or related technical field is preferred.
  • Prior experience developing and delivering training (internal enablement, technical education, or field training) is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Establish rapport and respond appropriately to internal and customer training requests
  • Develop and deliver internal training programs for new woodworking and metalworking machinery for Technical Service, Customer Service, and Technical Documentation teams.
  • Create and maintain training materials including presentations, step-by-step guides, reference sheets, videos, and onboarding packets.
  • Coordinate cross-department training schedules and track completion for product onboarding readiness.
  • Translate technical concepts into clear, role-specific instruction tailored to different internal audiences.
  • Operate and evaluate machines hands-on to validate training content, setup procedures, safety requirements, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Provide high-level assistance with escalated machine questions and support internal teams during early-life product launches.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and factories regarding product issues, improvements, and training needs.
  • Review manuals, schematics, and blueprints to ensure training materials and internal guidance are accurate.
  • Support the Technical Documentation team by providing technical input, content reviews, or draft procedures when needed.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while performing hands-on machine work and demonstrations.
  • Utilize Teams and other collaboration tools to communicate updates, questions, and resolutions efficiently.
  • Occasional travel to customer sites or company locations for training, demonstrations, or support may be required for this position.
