About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Product Support Supply Chain Manager to support the team in San Antonio, TX. This role involves inventory management of aircraft kitted and rotatable parts, consumables, and emergent parts. It also includes toolroom management, facilities management, plant and equipment maintenance, technical management of the external supply chain, and coordination with third-party vendors to support site requirements. The position develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures, and sets operational goals. The manager acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers, and leads process improvements. They develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, business partners, and direct reports, providing oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes. The role also participates in equipment make/buy decisions, source selection, and provides technical oversight of suppliers. Additionally, the manager is responsible for managing, developing, and motivating employees.

Requirements

  • At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR completion of the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
  • 3+ years of experience working in a computer-based inventory management system or warehouse management system
  • 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain Sourcing, Supplier Management, and Supply Chain Planning
  • Experience working with internal and external customers and suppliers
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
