About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is hiring for a First-line Product Support Supply Chain Manager (K-level) to join the team located in San Antonio, TX. This role manages employees performing supply chain activities within Product Support, develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures, and sets operational goals. The manager acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers, and leads process improvements. They also develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports, and provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes. Additionally, the role involves managing, developing, and motivating employees. To be considered, candidates must complete a First Line Leader Assessment.

Requirements

  • At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross-functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership”
  • 3+ years of experience within Supplier Management, Supply Chain, and/or Procurement practices and processes
  • 3+ years of experience establishing relationships and maintaining strong on-going communication with customers, suppliers and/or vendors
  • Experience managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services
  • Ability to work any shift, as assigned
  • Active Yankee White Clearance required
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 3+ years of experience with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations)
  • 3+ years of experience in proposal development and contract negotiations with U.S. Government Customers
  • 3+ years of experience leading a team or program
  • Experience with EVM and CAM supporting Boeing DoD contracts
