About The Position

Boeing Aerospace Operations Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is looking for a Product Support Supply Chain Manager to support the team in San Antonio, Texas. This role involves inventory management of aircraft kitted and rotatable parts, consumables and emergent parts, as well as toolroom management, facilities management, and plant and equipment maintenance. The position also includes technical management of the external supply chain and coordination with third-party vendors to support site requirements. The manager will develop and execute project and process plans, implement policies and procedures, set operational goals, acquire resources, provide technical management of suppliers, and lead process improvements. Additionally, they will develop and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, business partners, and direct reports, providing oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes. The role also participates in equipment make/buy decisions, source selection, and provides technical oversight of suppliers. This is a First Line Leader position, requiring management, development, and motivation of employees.

Requirements

  • At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
  • 3+ years of experience working in a computer-based inventory management system or warehouse management system
  • 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain Sourcing, Supplier Management, and Supply Chain Planning
  • Experience working with internal and external customers and suppliers
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
