The Product Solution Analyst translates product strategy, business needs, and client or user problems into clearly defined solutions that software development teams can design, build, test, and deliver. Working with Product Managers, business stakeholders, UX/Design, Engineering, QA, and other technology partners, this role bridges business objectives and technology execution. It includes responsibilities commonly associated with an Agile Product Owner, such as requirements analysis, solution definition, backlog refinement, user story development, acceptance criteria, development-team clarification, and validation of delivered functionality. The analyst partners with Product Managers to define capabilities and solutions, develops an understanding of relevant workflows, and works with stakeholders and subject-matter experts to assess needs, processes, pain points, rules, and requirements. The role analyzes existing workflows and systems, identifies gaps and dependencies, documents current- and future-state processes where appropriate, and works with UX/Design and Technology teams to evaluate potential solutions. As a day-to-day Product representative for assigned development teams, the analyst turns roadmap initiatives into development-ready artifacts, maintains and refines the backlog based on Product Manager priorities, and ensures work is understood and ready for development. The role supports Agile ceremonies, clarifies requirements during implementation, helps break initiatives into incremental releases, and raises gaps, conflicts, edge cases, and unresolved decisions. Material scope or solution decisions are handled in partnership with the Product Manager. The analyst elicits and documents requirements, business rules, workflows, integrations, data requirements, and system behaviors; identifies cross-system and partner dependencies; and collaborates across the software development lifecycle. The role supports solution feasibility, QA and testing, functionality review, user acceptance testing, release readiness, documentation, training, and implementation. It also facilitates communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders and seeks to improve requirements quality, backlog readiness, refinement, and team collaboration.
