About The Position

This role is an operational Program Specialist focused on product lifecycle management, configuration management, BOM management, and change order management. The associate will be responsible for creating part numbers and entering them into PLM tools, managing change orders, and handling final configurations before they go to customers. This position is a key stakeholder during the development of new products, ensuring product development phases throughout the NPI process are well-defined and organized. The associate will also be involved in creating and structuring Bill of Materials (BOM), tracking and entering Engineering Change Orders (ECO) in Townsend, and communicating new part numbers to internal teams and contract manufacturers. The daily schedule involves collaborating with the product development team and third-party suppliers on BOM/material management and submitting change order requests. This role will support different programs, including the Kuiper program, focusing on the customer terminal portion of the product line.

Requirements

  • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools; Agile, Windchill
  • Hardware configuration management experience
  • Knowledgeable of system/device build planning and builds
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask and manage competing deadlines efficiently
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2-4 years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience with product lifecycle management

Responsibilities

  • Create and structure Bill of Materials (BOM)
  • Track and entry of Engineering Change Orders (ECO) in Townsend, which is an Amazon internal tool, and manage BOM changes
  • Work closely with Engineering and Component Engineers to create part numbers
  • Communicate new part numbers to internal teams and to the Contract Manufacturer
  • Collaborating with product develop team and third party suppliers regarding BOM/material management
  • Submitting change order requests
  • Supporting BOM in PLM tools, working with cross functional teams, operations, etc.
  • Supporting Kuiper program, focusing on the customer terminal portion of product line
  • BOM creation and management
  • Build matrices and device allocations supporting Kuiper Engineering teams
