About The Position

StratusGrid is seeking a Product Marketing Manager to shape how the company understands its market, communicates the value of Stratusphere, and brings new capabilities to customers. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role working across Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing. The role develops a deep understanding of customers, buyers, competitors, the market, and the product to improve positioning, pricing and packaging, launches, and product comprehension and adoption. StratusGrid is building an AI-native platform for cloud infrastructure management in a rapidly changing market. The Product Marketing Manager is expected to develop informed points of view, challenge assumptions, identify what resonates with customers, and translate complex technical capabilities into clear, differentiated stories. The role also uses AI to accelerate research, synthesis, exploration, iteration, and content production while retaining ownership of judgment, originality, and quality. StratusGrid describes Stratusphere as a multi-agent platform that coordinates specialized infrastructure agents to observe AWS and Azure environments, simulate policy-safe plans, and execute approved changes with auditability and rollback-ready safety. The platform aims to produce measurable outcomes including savings, improved security, faster delivery, and less operational toil. The position is remote-work-ready and requires periodic travel for customer engagements, team planning sessions, or onsite work. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire; visa sponsorship is not offered. Full-time employees receive competitive pay and a flexible benefits package supporting employees and their families.

Requirements

  • Experience in product marketing, preferably for a B2B technology, SaaS, infrastructure, developer, cloud, AI, or other technically complex product.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand technically complex products and translate them into clear, differentiated customer value without oversimplifying or relying on unnecessary jargon.
  • Willingness to spend meaningful time directly with customers and prospects rather than relying solely on secondhand feedback or internal assumptions.
  • Experience conducting market, competitive, customer, and pricing research and turning incomplete or ambiguous information into clear recommendations.
  • Excellent written communication and editorial judgment, including the ability to produce communication that is clear, persuasive, differentiated, and memorable.
  • Strong commercial judgment and understanding of how product, pricing, positioning, Sales, Customer Success, and buyer behavior interact.
  • Ability to partner with Product Managers, Product Designers, engineers, Sales, Customer Success, executives, and other stakeholders and influence alignment without formal authority.
  • Ability to operate effectively amid ambiguity as the product, category, market, and go-to-market motion evolve.
  • Outcome-oriented approach, measuring success by improved customer understanding of value and greater team effectiveness in bringing that value to market.
  • Strong attention to detail, judgment, and taste, with the ability to move quickly and distinguish between work requiring refinement and work requiring rapid learning.
  • Fluency with modern AI tools to improve the breadth, speed, and quality of research, synthesis, exploration, and execution without replacing first-principles reasoning, judgment, originality, or taste.
  • Willingness and ability to travel periodically for customer engagements, team planning sessions, or onsite work.
  • Ability to work effectively in a distributed team, with reliable high-speed internet, a professional and distraction-limited workspace, and the ability to communicate, collaborate, and execute independently.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire; visa sponsorship is not offered.

Nice To Haves

  • Direct familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP, cloud economics, FinOps, infrastructure as code, platform engineering, or adjacent technical categories.
  • Experience as the first or primary Product Marketing hire, or establishing positioning, messaging, research, launch, and enablement practices from the ground up.
  • Experience with outcome-based, usage-based, value-based, consumption-based, or other pricing models beyond traditional seat-based SaaS.
  • Experience marketing products involving technical practitioners, operational leaders, and executive or economic buyers.
  • Experience building credibility with highly technical developer or technical-user audiences.
  • Experience helping define or reposition an emerging product category while customer language, competitive boundaries, and market expectations were forming.
  • Track record of turning customer outcomes into credible, evidence-based case studies with measurable business or technical results.
  • Experience shaping in-product messaging, onboarding, feature adoption, or lifecycle communication with Product and Design.
  • Ability to recognize and shape effective information hierarchy, presentation flow, and visual storytelling, even without being a designer.
  • Hands-on experience building effective AI-assisted research, synthesis, writing, or analysis workflows that improve speed and quality while preserving human judgment and originality.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and continuously refine Stratusphere’s positioning, value propositions, messaging hierarchy, and core narratives, ensuring they are differentiated, credible, clear, and grounded in customer value.
  • Build deep customer and market understanding through engagement with customers, prospects, Sales, Customer Success, and Product; translate insights into better product and go-to-market decisions.
  • Research willingness to pay, competitive approaches, customer value, packaging alternatives, and pricing models, and bring evidence and market context to pricing decisions.
  • Maintain competitive and market intelligence on competitors, emerging categories, substitutes, customer expectations, and changes in cloud infrastructure and AI; translate findings into actionable implications.
  • Develop customer case studies, stories, testimonials, quantified proof points, and other evidence of customer outcomes, partnering with customers and internal teams to uncover results.
  • Create customer-facing product and solution briefs that clearly explain what Stratusphere does, why it matters, how it works, and how it is differentiated, while coordinating with Product and technical teams for accuracy.
  • Own or contribute to product-related website copy, including product and solution pages, feature messaging, proof points, calls to action, and other customer-facing language.
  • Partner with Product and Design to develop clear in-product messaging, including feature introductions, empty states, onboarding language, prompts, and explanatory copy.
  • Develop narratives, audiences, messaging, and communication approaches for meaningful product releases; create customer-facing release updates and coordinate go-to-market communications with Product.
  • Bring customer, buyer, competitive, pricing, and market context into product discovery early, helping Product understand how customers may perceive, evaluate, purchase, and adopt new capabilities.
  • Support go-to-market strategy and launches by helping determine target audiences, positioning, required proof, market introduction, and Sales and Customer Success communication needs.
  • Enable Sales and Customer Success with messaging, talk tracks, competitive guidance, objection handling, product narratives, buyer-facing materials, and other communication tools.
  • Contribute product and market narratives, messaging, ideas, product-related posts, customer stories, and points of view to StratusGrid’s social presence and external communications.
  • Assess whether positioning, launches, pricing, customer proof, and messaging are changing behavior; use qualitative and quantitative signals to identify what is working and what should change.
  • Use AI tools to accelerate research, competitive analysis, customer-feedback synthesis, exploration, content iteration, repurposing, and production while maintaining accuracy, originality, voice, reasoning, and judgment.
  • Own work end to end, from gathering context and developing a point of view through execution, feedback, measurement, and follow-up.
