Product Manager (ERP)

Unanet
•$109,650 - $129,000

About The Position

Unanet is seeking a Product Manager to act as the product lead within a cross-functional pod of Product, Engineering, UX, QA, and subject-matter experts. The role owns a defined product domain and leads the problem-to-PRD process, from problem framing and prototyping through execution, validation, launch, and post-launch learning. It is a builder role focused on customer outcomes, adoption, and product differentiation rather than traditional backlog management. The Product Manager works closely with software development in a hyper-agile, AI-accelerated environment. The role uses customer and market insight, product judgment, and AI-assisted development practices to identify problems, create actionable requirements and prototypes, and iteratively improve shipped capabilities. It also develops the product context layer for its domain, including skills, agent prompts, and strategy drawing on jobs-to-be-done, competitive positioning, institutional knowledge, and moat context. The position shapes an outcome-oriented roadmap, develops an understanding of user personas across a multi-product business, tracks market and competitive developments across AEC and adjacent markets, and supports training, beta, and pilot programs. It helps define evaluation methods and feedback loops for LLM- and agent-driven experiences, including human-in-the-loop validation, and models effective AI use in day-to-day product management. The role requires willingness to travel to customer or partner sites, conferences, and other field events.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of software product management experience.
  • Previous accountancy experience or experience building ERP or accounting software for AEC customers.
  • Proven success as the product lead in a tightly embedded, cross-functional delivery model.
  • Experience in a hyper-agile or AI-accelerated product development environment.
  • Strong experience converting customer and market insight into actionable requirements, prototypes, and launch-ready product capabilities.
  • Experience supporting a major product launch and scaling the product through post-launch learning, adoption, and iteration.
  • Ability to understand data models and information retrieval methods and ask effective questions to extract value from data.
  • Proficiency using analytics to inform product and business decisions.
  • Comfort working with technical architecture and mapping data flows.
  • Strong planning, execution, product delivery, and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Collaborative, self-organized, accountable, and driven to deliver high-quality products.
  • Familiarity with AI ethics and responsible AI practices, including fairness, transparency, and accountability.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to customer and/or partner sites, conferences, and other field events.

Nice To Haves

  • Accounting or finance background, including CPA certification.
  • Hands-on experience with agentic workflows, prompt engineering, LLM orchestration, and AI-assisted authoring of product requirements or prototypes.
  • Experience designing or shaping agentic workflows, LLM-powered experiences, or other AI-assisted product capabilities.
  • Fluency with modern AI product-development tools and workflows, such as Cursor, Glean, Claude Code, Replit, and MCP-connected workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Product role within a cross-functional pod and lead the problem-to-PRD loop for a defined domain, from framing through prototyping, execution, validation, and post-launch learning.
  • Work in a hyper-agile development cycle with Product and Development to move from problem framing and PRD development to prototypes, shipped capabilities, and iteration based on customer outcomes.
  • Drive AI-assisted product development through multi-agent workflows, rapid iteration, and quality review.
  • Build and maintain the product context layer for the domain, including skills, agent prompts, and strategy informed by jobs-to-be-done, competitive positioning, institutional knowledge, and moat context.
  • Own and influence a problem-oriented roadmap centered on customer outcomes and strategic bets; prioritize important workflows and opportunities.
  • Translate customer and market insight into product requirements, prototypes, and launch-ready deliverables.
  • Develop understanding of user personas across a multi-product business and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor competitive and market developments across AEC and adjacent markets to inform roadmap, positioning, and moat-building decisions.
  • Help define success metrics, evaluation approaches, and feedback loops for LLM- and agent-driven experiences, including human-in-the-loop validation.
  • Support training, beta, and pilot programs, then drive adoption, learning, and iteration after launch.
  • Communicate clearly and use strong storytelling to influence decisions and align technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Model strong day-to-day AI use and help evolve Product practices in an AI-first organization.
