About The Position

Raycon is seeking a Product Manager to oversee hardware products from conception through mass production, including daily vendor execution to ensure timely shipment. The role involves owning specifications, schedules, and making critical decisions when cost, performance, and timeline are in conflict. This position is title-flexible, and strong candidates may have backgrounds in Product Management, Technical Program Management, Engineering Program Management, or hardware engineering with program ownership experience. The company is experiencing profitable growth with over 5 million customers and is undergoing international expansion. Raycon is at a pivotal stage, scaling from a startup to a global brand, with an expanding product portfolio, rising customer expectations, and increasing execution complexity. The ideal candidate will bring structure, clarity, and momentum to the product development and launch process.

Requirements

  • 3+ years owning consumer hardware products or programs end-to-end
  • Direct experience working with contract manufacturers, ideally in China or Asia
  • Track record of holding schedules - dates don't slip without you knowing first
  • Comfortable making tradeoffs with incomplete data and defending the call later
  • Ability to get things done when things are messy, ambiguous, or broken
  • Clear written communication - specs and vendor emails leave no ambiguity

Nice To Haves

  • Engineering degree preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Own hardware products through EVT, DVT, PVT, and mass production
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with overseas manufacturers and engineering partners
  • Drive design and component decisions when tradeoffs need to be called
  • Translate customer needs into specs, PRDs, and success metrics
  • Lead cross-functional execution across engineering, ID, firmware, ops, marketing, and CX
  • Partner with product marketing on positioning, pricing inputs, and launch readiness
  • Monitor post-launch performance and feed learnings into the next cycle
