Founding Product Manager

ReductoSan Francisco, CA
$150,000 - $300,000Onsite

About The Position

Reducto is seeking a Founding Product Manager to set the product direction for their agentic document platform. This role is entrepreneurial, focusing on the core platform (APIs, no-code workflows, document processing), packaging, pricing, and go-to-market strategy. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of customers, models, and the competitive landscape, working closely with research and engineering teams to drive product value and company velocity. The role involves end-to-end product ownership, from specification to iteration, with a strong emphasis on quality, user experience, and business outcomes. This is a hands-on, low-ego position for someone who thrives in ambiguity and is passionate about building products that users love.

Requirements

  • 5+ years as a PM, engineer, or founder, with experience taking a product from concept to paid adoption.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to structure one's own work without a playbook.
  • Deeply technical: ability to read API specs, discuss model architectures, and evaluate technical tradeoffs with engineering.
  • Daily user of AI tools and a firsthand understanding of the AI ecosystem.
  • Metrics-driven: ability to define success quantitatively and understand how feature metrics ladder up to business outcomes.
  • Excellent taste: attention to detail in copy, flow, naming, and speed; ability to articulate why admired products are great.
  • Maniacal about outcomes: proactive identification of priorities, planning, execution, and accountability.
  • Understanding that process is a tool, not a crutch, and using it judiciously to maintain speed without chaos.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building technical products for developers.
  • Experience with document processing / AI infrastructure.
  • Background in ML/AI product management, specifically shipping products powered by proprietary models.
  • Experience at a high-growth startup that scaled from early traction.
  • Experience building or scaling a horizontal platform across multiple verticals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop deep expertise in customers, workflows, models, and the competitive landscape to define product investment areas.
  • Engage constantly with customers (developers and technical buyers) to inform product decisions.
  • Collaborate with the research team to understand model capabilities and translate them into product value.
  • Multiply the team's effectiveness by removing obstacles, ensuring successful launches, de-risking decisions, and maintaining team alignment.
  • Accelerate the entire organization's velocity to match engineering speed, reinventing work processes as needed.
  • Own the end-to-end product lifecycle: spec, build, test, launch, measure, and iterate.
  • Define and own success metrics, including feature-level signals and top-line business metrics like revenue, pricing, packaging, and PLG motions.
  • Set and maintain a high quality bar for all product surfaces, personally QAing features and pushing for polish.
  • Develop a broad understanding across verticals (financial services, healthcare, legal, insurance) and customer personas, while also going deep into specific problem areas.
  • Take ownership of tasks that need doing, regardless of role, in a low-ego environment.

Benefits

  • Unlimited PTO
  • Daily Lunch
  • Commuter Reimbursement
  • Comprehensive Insurance (medical, dental, and vision)
  • Health and Wellness Budget ($150/month)
  • Parental Leave
  • 401k + 4% company match
