Product Manager, Pharmapod (12-month contract)

Think Research CorporationToronto, ON
CA$110,000 - CA$130,000Hybrid

About The Position

Pharmapod is a platform designed to prevent medication errors and patient harm by capturing and learning from near-misses at scale. Founded in 2012 by a pharmacist, Pharmapod is mandated across Ontario, deployed in over 65% of Canadian pharmacies, and used by thousands of pharmacies in the US and internationally. The company operates a federally recognized Patient Safety Organization (PSO) and is an approved platform for various regulatory programs, including the UK NHS LFPSE program. This role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and usability of the Pharmapod platform, directly contributing to patient safety.

Requirements

  • 2 to 3 years of product management experience, ideally in enterprise SaaS.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams through complex problems without formal authority.
  • Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences including clinicians, executives, and regulators.
  • Experience taking a product from concept through launch and iteration, ideally in a domain where the cost of a bad decision is real.
  • A bias toward understanding the underlying workflow, you don't ship for pharmacists without knowing what a typical Tuesday behind the counter actually looks like.

Nice To Haves

  • Healthcare, pharmacy, or health-tech experience or a clinical background.
  • Experience with regulated data environments (HIPAA, PSQIA, ISO 27001, SOC 2).
  • Familiarity with patient safety frameworks (root cause analysis, just culture, SMART actions).

Responsibilities

  • Define and prioritize the roadmap, balancing patient-safety impact, regulatory obligations, enterprise customer needs, and commercial strategy.
  • Own discovery - spend real time with pharmacists and quality teams to understand how incidents actually get captured, investigated, and acted on.
  • Partner with engineering and design to ship - incident forms, risk scoring, root cause analysis tools, dashboards used by C-suite leaders at national chains.
  • Navigate multi-jurisdictional requirements (Ontario AIMS, US PSO, UK NHS LFPSE) and make principled calls about what is configurable, what is standardized, and what is non-negotiable.
  • Support business development and customer success as the product subject matter expert, including in RFPs and enterprise renewal conversations.
  • Communicate tradeoffs clearly to customers, regulators, executives, and the engineering team.

Benefits

  • Hybrid work environment
  • Possibility of extension based on business need
