About The Position

Avathon is seeking a Product Manager to define and shape its next generation of Physical AI products for global supply chains, logistics, transportation, and industrial operations. The role owns product strategy for capabilities including autonomous planning, multi-objective optimization, transportation and network intelligence, inventory and production optimization, decision automation, and agentic AI. The Product Manager works with AI scientists, product engineers, forward-deployed teams, customers, and industry leaders to turn complex operational challenges into scalable AI products that reason, replan, optimize, and act. The role defines product vision, strategy, roadmap, priorities, requirements, user journeys, APIs, workflows, agents, and success metrics. It involves engaging customers and industry experts, researching market and technology trends, monitoring product performance, demonstrating products, and collaborating across applied science, product, and forward-deployed engineering from concept through deployment and scale. The position also partners with Forward Deployed Engineering to turn successful customer deployments into repeatable platform and product capabilities. The job requires an MBA from a top-tier university with a globally recognized supply chain, logistics, and operations program, as well as at least four years of relevant experience. Experience defining and deploying products that incorporate AI, machine learning, optimization, or advanced analytics is preferred. California base salary is $150,000–$190,000 USD, based on experience. Compensation also includes stock options. Requirements

MBA from a top-tier university with a globally recognized supply chain, logistics, and operations program.
At least 4 years of relevant experience in product management, supply chain strategy, operations, or management consulting.
Strong understanding of supply chain planning and operational processes, including demand planning, supply planning, inventory, logistics, and manufacturing.
Strong ability to translate complex business problems into clear product requirements.
Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
Experience working directly with enterprise customers and senior business stakeholders.
Ability to operate with significant ownership in a fast-moving technology company.

Nice To Haves

Experience defining and deploying products incorporating AI, machine learning, optimization, or advanced analytics.
Strong understanding of industrial and B2B operating environments.

Responsibilities

Define product vision, strategy, roadmap, and priorities for Avathon’s supply chain and operations portfolio.
Define product requirements, user journeys, APIs, workflows, agents, and success metrics.
Work directly with customers and industry experts to understand operational challenges, validate product concepts, and prioritize capabilities.
Translate customer and business requirements into product requirements, workflows, user stories, KPIs, and acceptance criteria.
Track industry trends, competitive offerings, customer priorities, and emerging technologies to identify product opportunities.
Define and monitor product KPIs and use customer and performance data to improve the product.
Demonstrate new products to customers, partners, and executives.
Work with applied science, product, and Forward-Deployed Engineering teams to take products from idea through prototype, deployment, and scale.
Partner with Forward Deployed Engineering to turn successful customer deployments into repeatable platform and product capabilities.
