Product Manager, Xsolla Ads

Xsolla
•$135,000 - $175,000

About The Position

Xsolla is hiring a Product Manager to own the appearance and performance of ads in its Offerwall, where players complete offers in games and apps in exchange for in-game currency. The role defines the supported ad formats and how they render across publisher experiences, while balancing player experience, publisher needs, and advertiser branding. Ad content includes native offers, VAST video, HTML and MRAID creatives, OpenRTB Native assets, playables, interstitials, and reward flows. The Product Manager translates product ideas into Figma designs, prototypes, product requirements, and acceptance criteria that engineering teams can implement. The role also runs and analyzes experiments, tracks ad engagement and monetization metrics, and turns findings into a prioritized roadmap. It identifies ways AI can accelerate creative production, asset adaptation, quality checks, prototyping, specification writing, and analysis. The position works regularly with Engineering, Design, Demand, Publisher Success, and Data. The successful candidate will be based in Los Angeles or elsewhere in the United States and able to work across US time zones. Success is measured by improved offerwall engagement, reliable rendering across platforms, fewer creative rejections and bugs, actionable specifications, clear creative guidelines, and practical use of AI in creative work and testing.

Requirements

  • Around 5 years of product management experience, including a significant amount of experience in AdTech.
  • Hands-on experience owning ad design or ad experience, such as ad units, creative formats, or ad rendering in an app or game.
  • Working knowledge of oRTB ad formats, including VAST, HTML and MRAID, and OpenRTB Native; understanding of how they work, common failure modes, and specification limits.
  • Comfort with data, including designing A/B tests, interpreting results, and using SQL or a BI tool to answer questions independently.
  • Ability to write clear specifications that engineers can build from without needing clarification.
  • Good visual judgment and ability to explain how layouts may affect player behavior.
  • Clear communication with engineers, designers, and commercial teams.
  • Based in Los Angeles or elsewhere in the United States, with the ability to work across US time zones.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using AI tools such as Claude, Midjourney, or Figma AI to create ads, prototype products, or improve productivity; candidates are encouraged to bring a real example.
  • Experience with offerwalls, rewarded ads, or rewarded video.
  • Experience designing in Figma, including building prototypes and engineering-ready designs.
  • Experience in mobile gaming or app monetization.
  • Familiarity with ad SDKs, mediation, and the rendering of third-party creatives.

Responsibilities

  • Own the look and feel of offerwall ad units, including offer cards, detail pages, video, playables, interstitials, and the reward flow.
  • Set creative standards for advertisers and publishers, including layouts, asset specifications, safe areas, aspect ratios, and branding rules.
  • Balance the experience and requirements of players, publishers, and advertisers.
  • Define support for VAST, HTML and MRAID, and OpenRTB Native formats across Web, iOS, Android, and Unity.
  • Specify format-support requirements, including VAST events to track, permitted MRAID calls, and how Native assets map into offerwall templates.
  • Work with Engineering on creative quality assurance and rejection rules to catch broken or non-compliant creatives before they reach players.
  • Create Figma designs and prototypes that engineers can implement clearly.
  • Write product requirements documents and acceptance criteria covering states, edge cases, and device differences.
  • Collaborate with designers on the offerwall design system and maintain consistency across publishers and platforms.
  • Run A/B tests on layouts, creative treatments, and formats, and analyze the results.
  • Track CTR, video completion rate, offer start and completion rates, IPM, and eCPM.
  • Use test findings to prioritize the roadmap and explain tradeoffs to Engineering, Demand, and leadership.
  • Identify and apply AI to creative generation, asset adaptation, auto-cropping, localization, creative quality checks, prototyping, specification writing, and test analysis.
  • Work regularly with Engineering, Design, Demand, Publisher Success, and Data.
  • Provide the Demand team with clear creative guidelines to share with advertisers.
  • Bring publisher and advertiser feedback into the roadmap in an actionable form for engineers.

Benefits

  • 100% company-paid medical, dental, and vision plans.
  • Unlimited Flexible Time Off.
  • A personalized career roadmap for each employee.
  • Professional development through training and educational opportunities.
