Product Manager - Internal AI Enablement

GOVX•San Diego, CA

About The Position

The Product Manager for Internal AI Enablement discovers and builds AI-powered solutions that make work easier, faster, and more automated for teams across GOVX. The role’s customers are GOVX employees. It combines product management with hands-on building: the Product Manager learns how teams work, identifies workflows suitable for AI automation, and builds and deploys agents and tools. The position begins as a solo-builder role spanning departments, starting with Sales and Marketing, with engineering support available when needed. The Product Manager becomes an expert on internal teams, their processes, and the AI tools available to improve them. They embed with teams to understand and map workflows, translate opportunities into clear requirements, prioritize by business impact, and use data to understand adoption and outcomes. Initial measures of success include workflows and agents in production and employee satisfaction. The role also requires communicating with stakeholders across the organization, demonstrating and teaching tools, and staying current with AI capabilities and practices. Approximately half of the role is hands-on development and deployment of AI agents and automated workflows using Microsoft Copilot and Copilot Studio, with solutions integrated into SharePoint and Teams. The Product Manager tests and refines tools after launch and drives rollout, training, documentation, adoption, and ongoing support. They partner with Engineering when needed and work with Engineering, IT, and HR on secure, compliant, and responsible AI governance. The role applies product discovery, optimization, and delivery practices, including stakeholder interviews, process and journey mapping, framing, prototype testing, and rapid prototyping. It also involves building stakeholder relationships, creating shared understanding, supporting teams through change, and communicating GOVX’s broader AI enablement vision.
