About The Position

GEICO is looking for a customer-obsessed, results-oriented Product Manager to join GEICO’s Claims Subrogation team. As a Product Manager, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical vision and specific solutions needed to solve business and customer problems. You will break down complex problems into steps that drive product development. You will support horizontal teams focused on enhancing our digital claims experience, guiding customers seamlessly from the initial notification of injury through to the offer stage. In this dynamic role, you'll be key to driving GEICO's digital transformation by being part of a growing Product Organization working collaboratively with teams to implement cutting edge technologies, foster a culture of innovation, and ensure seamless integration of digital solutions across the organization. This is a hybrid position, requiring on-site presence 2-3 days a week at one of the following locations: Palo Alto, CA; Seattle, WA; Bethesda, MD.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least 5 years of experience in Product Management
  • At least 5 years of experience translating features into consumer or associate facing products
  • At least 5 years managing all aspects of a product feature throughout its lifecycle from concept to delivery
  • At least 5 years leading cross-functional teams that drive results during product discovery and product delivery
  • At least 3 years of experience building and shipping technical products

Nice To Haves

  • Experience driving product vision, go-to-market strategy, and design discussions
  • Experience managing day-to-day technical and design direction
  • Knowledge of multiple functional areas such as Product Management, Engineering, UX/UI, Sales, Customer Support, Finance, or Marketing
  • Ability to influence multiple stakeholders without direct authority
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Insurance Injury experience preferred
  • High sense of accountability and strong problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as software engineering or computer science
  • Agile certifications preferred (i.e., SAFe, Scrum Alliance, Scrum.Org, ICAgile, PMI-ACP)
  • Experience leveraging AI-enabled tooling to accelerate product delivery

Responsibilities

  • Work with Engineering and Business on requirements, describing and managing the solution of a specific product or initiative.
  • Coordinate/communicate between different workstreams.
  • Lead cross-functional teams that drive results during product discovery and product delivery.
  • Synthesize business, market, and platform data to identify opportunities, size them, and turn insights into requirements.
  • Own and prioritize the long-term (6-12 months) product roadmap to deliver on business outcomes, working closely with a cross-functional team to ensure that all the right resources are aligned to ensure that and your team will be successful.
  • Leverage modern architecture & great design to identify problem-solution fit.
  • Evaluate trade-offs and negotiate requirements.
  • Create and use compelling, informative artifacts to influence stakeholders (ex. Vision, Roadmaps, Features/Epics, Wireframes, Progress Updates, etc.).
  • Understand current and future state architecture.
  • Evaluate and decompose user needs into technical features and stories.
  • Build, implement, and monitor API’s.
  • Identify and measure KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), with an eye to adjusting and refining your roadmap as the data dictates.
  • Have an end-to-end understanding of features and how they fit into the larger ecosystem to be able to anticipate impacts from changes in other parts of the business.
