Product Manager, Platform Capabilities

Render is seeking a Product Manager with a focus on developer tools to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a Product Management role, with a strong background in developer tools or similar at a product-led growth company. They will be responsible for setting the product vision and strategy for Render's core platform, collaborating with various teams to define and execute new features, and advocating for a cohesive and delightful developer experience. The role requires exceptional communication skills, the ability to tackle ambiguous problems, and a passion for high-quality user experiences.

• Partner with Leadership to set product vision and strategy for making Render's core platform a world-class development experience
• Steward the evolution of Render's core platform, balancing the needs of our various customer segments with the long-term vision for Render when making decisions about new features to introduce
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Design, Marketing, and Developer Relations to define and execute on new features for our developer audience
• Partner closely with Marketing and Leadership on pricing and packaging decisions for new compute and database offerings as well as core developer experience features
• Be the voice of the developer at Render and advocate for a cohesive, delightful developer experience throughout the org
• Identify and build new compute offerings (e.g., edge functions, object storage, GPUs, etc.)
• Improve support for native environments
• Design and launch a best-in-class CLI that's tightly integrated with Render's dashboard and API
• Develop and launch Render's developer ecosystem in partnership with Leadership
• Collaborate with Developer Relations and Marketing to learn more about customers and their evolving needs and share this knowledge within the organization

• 6+ years of experience in a Product Management role, preferably with experience in developer tools or similar at a product-led growth company
• Strong intuition for developer tools and a love for high-quality user experiences
• Ability to balance user insights and data with creativity and intuition to solve problems
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
• Demonstrated track record in tackling ambiguous problems and shaping clear outcomes
• Experience as a PM or developer building and operating a platform (nice to have)
• Passion for collaborating and building developer communities (nice to have)
• Technical background or professional experience as a developer (nice to have)

• Starting salary between $160,000 and $220,000 USD
