About The Position

Elorian AI is an early-stage AI lab building multimodal AI models. The founding Product Manager will lead product strategy and execution across the model lifecycle, from training priorities to production deployment and iterative refinement. Based in the Palo Alto office, the role includes scaling the public API, planning the launch of upcoming frontier foundation models, and making strategic choices between broad developer infrastructure and vertical applications. The Product Manager will connect research, engineering, and go-to-market teams; translate multimodal research into developer products; and align engineering priorities and compute resources with enterprise demand. The role also partners with GTM to gather customer insights, develop product features and monetization approaches, and support customer conversations. It includes shaping the full-stack developer experience, creating evaluation and feedback systems, and balancing model quality, latency, serving cost, and safety.

Requirements

At least 5 years of product management experience.
Proven track record of owning machine-learning products or model-development lifecycles from concept to launch.
Experience operating as a sole or founding PM, navigating ambiguity, establishing product workflows, and executing directly with research scientists and core engineers.
Strong technical and analytical mindset, with hands-on experience in model evaluation design, benchmark creation, data flywheels, and performance metrics.
Ability to make rapid, sound prioritization decisions balancing model quality, inference speed, compute costs, and safety.
Ability to earn technical trust with research and engineering teams and translate complex model capabilities into clear product priorities and executable roadmaps.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with multimodal models, frontier AI research, generative architectures, or large-scale foundation model development.
Experience as a founding product manager, founding team member, or early employee at a fast-growing startup, or as lead PM on a 0-to-1 incubation team.
Prior experience building APIs, SDKs, model-serving infrastructure, or developer platforms.
Proficiency in Python and SQL is preferred.

Responsibilities

Own the product lifecycle, including optimizing the public API and planning the release strategy and developer experience for upcoming foundation models.
Evaluate and prioritize business and product bets, including the balance between a horizontal developer platform and vertical applications.
Own product priorities for pre-training and fine-tuning, driving alignment, evaluation, and iterative deployment.
Connect commercial teams, research scientists, and infrastructure engineers.
Translate multimodal research capabilities into scalable developer primitives and production features.
Align engineering sprint priorities and compute resources with enterprise demand and adoption signals.
Work with GTM leadership to capture customer pain points, workflow bottlenecks, and enterprise feedback.
Turn market signals into product features, tiered enterprise offerings, and monetization mechanisms.
Join customer conversations to uncover use cases, prototype solutions, and establish repeatable enterprise playbooks.
Shape the end-to-end developer journey and product experience.
Partner with research to build automated data flywheels and closed-loop feedback systems that improve model benchmarks.
Make tradeoffs among model intelligence, inference latency, serving cost, and safety.
