Founding Product Designer
About The Position
Clark is building the trust infrastructure for the AI economy, starting with audit and accounting workflows. Our platform helps firms automate complex workflows, deploy AI safely, and modernize how audit teams operate. This role focuses on turning complex AI workflows into intuitive, trustworthy software, working closely with Engineering, Product, Audit Engineers, and customers. As one of the first designers, you will have significant ownership over the product experience, establishing the design language, influencing product direction, and shaping customer interaction with AI. The role emphasizes making complex AI workflows feel trustworthy, fast, and intuitive, ensuring products are approachable, transparent, and delightful.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience designing modern software products
- Strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional product thinking, interaction design, and visual design
- Expert in Figma and modern product design workflows
- Experience designing complex web applications or enterprise software
- Strong systems thinking and ability to simplify complex user workflows
- Comfortable collaborating closely with engineers throughout implementation
- High ownership with the ability to operate independently in ambiguous environments
- Excellent communication skills and strong product intuition
- Strong attention to detail and pride in crafting products users love
Nice To Haves
- Experience designing AI-native or agentic products
- Experience building enterprise workflow software or productivity tools
- Experience designing for highly regulated or trust-sensitive industries
- Experience creating and maintaining scalable design systems
- Experience conducting customer research and usability testing

Responsibilities
- Design intuitive end-to-end product experiences across Clark's core platform
- Partner closely with Engineering, Product, Audit Engineers, and customers to understand workflows and translate them into thoughtful product experiences
- Own the design process from discovery and wireframes through high-fidelity mockups and production-ready specifications
- Create intuitive workflows for AI-powered audit and accounting products
- Conduct user research, gather feedback, and iterate quickly based on customer insights
- Build and evolve Clark's design system, interaction patterns, and visual language
- Design for clarity, trust, accessibility, and usability across complex enterprise workflows
- Collaborate closely with engineers to ensure a high-quality implementation of product designs
- Help establish design best practices and raise the quality bar across the organization
