About The Position

Forus is seeking a Product Designer to help define how its platform is built and scaled, acting as a strategic partner across the business. The role spans the product surface area, from patient-facing consumer applications to enterprise tools for biopharma companies and AI-powered workflows. The designer will help create consumer-grade healthcare experiences with strong product thinking and craftsmanship, and will be expected to work with a high degree of autonomy and ownership in a fast-moving, demanding environment. The designer will collaborate with engineering, product, operations, and customers; facilitate user research; and build and evolve the design system. Forus values rigorous problem-solving, resourcefulness, direct communication, high execution standards, and a focus on user outcomes. The role is based in person at Forus’s SoHo office in New York.

Requirements

5+ years of experience designing software.
Strong design skills and the ability to run projects independently.
Ability to untangle and simplify complexity and design elegant, focused solutions.
Impeccable craftsmanship and taste.
Clear communication and strong design rationale, with the ability to participate effectively internally and externally.
Track record of moving quickly, finding shortcuts, and going to unreasonable lengths to deliver on goals.
High NPS with former teammates.

Responsibilities

Design products across consumer applications, enterprise tools, and AI-powered workflows.
Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and operations to envision, prioritize, and drive projects.
Facilitate user research to understand users’ needs and pain points.
Participate in client engagements, working directly with customers to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
Build and evolve the design system to support rapid scaling.
