About The Position

As a Senior Product Associate on the Card Transactions team, the role drives end-to-end execution of the product vision and prioritized roadmap while architecting business solutions and analyzing requirements aligned with strategic objectives. The position partners with product, technology, and business stakeholders to deliver roadmap items on time and integrate business architecture principles.

The role maintains knowledge of product strategy, technical and operational considerations, develops business architecture and capability models, and ensures technology solutions meet business needs. It also supports risk and controls, roadmap and budget alignment, release management, agile improvement, Jira standards, and dependency management.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience as a Business Architect, Business Analyst, or in a similar role, or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain.
• Strong understanding of business processes, systems, and technology, with experience in banking and payments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including detailed business analysis and effective communication with stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders across the firm.
• Experience with business modeling tools, methodologies, and business analysis techniques.
• Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• BS/BA degree or equivalent experience.
• Expert knowledge of business processes across an entire line of business, as well as expertise in other lines of business and technology disciplines.
• Strong understanding of firmwide risk and controls, and global and line-of-business project and program management standards and methods.
• Experience working with high-performing teams in complex program execution, with an understanding of Waterfall and Agile methods.
• Ability to adapt quickly, learn new processes, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-starter with strong initiative.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Product Manager to identify product opportunities through user research and discovery.
• Architect business solutions aligned with strategic objectives and integrate product development with business goals and processes.
• Conduct business analysis to identify and document requirements, processes, and solutions.
• Build relationships with Product, Technology, Data, and Business partners; set expectations and communicate effectively, including working with engineering leads and technical directors.
• Maintain knowledge of the product area's vision, strategy, roadmap, technical aspects, and operations.
• Develop and maintain business architecture and capability models reflecting product strategies and goals.
• Work with IT teams to ensure technology solutions align with business needs and capabilities.
• Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements, build consensus, and analyze business needs.
• Monitor industry trends and best practices.
• Maintain documentation related to business architecture, processes, and business analysis findings.
• Focus on risk and controls, partnering with PO’s/APO’s/Agility Leads/Designers to confirm impacts and scope across teams.
• Monitor Jira hygiene and enforce Jira standards while tracking IT and non-IT work.
• Manage the product roadmap to align with the product budget and team availability.
• Manage release planning and communication, and proactively identify and manage issues.
• Support the Agility Lead in continuous improvement to increase team efficiency and agile effectiveness.
• Manage dependencies within and outside the product area.
