About The Position
The Produce Receiver is responsible for receiving, unloading, and organizing incoming shipments so products are stocked, rotated, and ready for customers. This role supports smooth store operations by maintaining an efficient and accurate backroom and sales floor. The position requires working in cold temperatures and handling products and equipment according to food and human safety guidelines.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Availability for morning and afternoon shifts, including weekends; shifts may start as early as 6 a.m.
- Able to lift 8–32 pounds on average, with maximum weights greater than 50 pounds lifted occasionally to frequently.
- Able to work in cold temperatures.
Responsibilities
- Unload daily deliveries safely and efficiently.
- Sort, organize, and stage products in the appropriate storage areas.
- Maintain a clean and organized backroom and storage area.
- Report discrepancies, damaged goods, or inventory issues to management.
- Rotate products using FIFO (first in, first out) practices to maintain freshness.
- Handle products and use equipment properly while following sanitation practices and food and human safety guidelines.
