About The Position

The Produce Merchandiser builds and maintains attractive product displays that promote products, attract customers, and help the department meet sales and profit goals. The position is entry level, requires no prior experience, and is seasonal. Candidates must be at least 18 years old. The role involves taking product inventory to determine display quantities, removing expired or damaged products, rotating perishable items properly, ensuring signage is visible, and following health, sanitation, and safety regulations. The merchandiser may also assist with other duties as assigned and is expected to provide friendly customer service, collaborate with team members, and represent the store positively. The position requires frequent walking, squatting, bending, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Pay is $17.50–$18.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Entry-level position; no prior experience required.
Good customer service skills.
Good oral communication skills.
Great work ethic, problem-solving ability, self-motivation, flexibility, and honesty.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain product displays to promote products, attract customers, and support department sales and profit goals.
Take product inventory to determine the quantities needed for displays.
Remove expired or damaged products from displays.
Maintain proper rotation of perishable food items.
Ensure proper signage is posted and visible.
Adhere to health, sanitation, and safety regulations.
