About The Position

Stew Leonard’s is hiring a Seasonal Produce Merchandiser. Merchandisers build and maintain attractive product displays that promote products, draw customers’ attention, and help the department meet sales and profit goals. The role is entry level, and prior experience is not required. The position pays hourly, with weekly pay and an estimated rate of $18.25–$18.35 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.

Availability for early mornings, with a 4 a.m. start time, and weekends is required. The work involves frequent walking, squatting, bending, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 80 pounds. Employees may occasionally work outside and be exposed to weather such as extreme heat or rain. The employer says applicants can start as soon as one week.

Responsibilities

• Take product inventory to determine the quantity needed.
• Remove expired or damaged products.
• Package and label products.
• Maintain proper rotation of perishable food items.
• Ensure proper signage is posted and visible.
• Follow health, sanitation, and safety regulations.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
• Build and maintain product displays that promote products, attract customers, and support department sales and profit goals.
