Produce Clerk Part Time
About The Position
The Produce Clerk sorts, displays, removes, and replenishes fresh fruits and vegetables in the produce department. The role maintains the department’s overall environment by assisting Members with product knowledge and customer service, and ensures produce meets or exceeds company quality standards. The position supports daily club standards by keeping merchandise stocked, displays clean and organized, and signage accurate. It also follows club policies and procedures, contributes to a safe and positive environment, collaborates with the team, and may perform duties in other departments as needed.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age.
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.

Responsibilities
- Assist Members in the produce department by answering questions, recommending products and safe handling tips, and helping Members find products throughout the club.
- Inspect, rotate, and store produce upon delivery, ensuring received produce meets or exceeds company standards.
- Rotate produce on the sales floor to maintain freshness and variety; keep cases and displays stocked, neat, and clean; and remove products unsuitable for sale.
- Maintain the produce reserve stock area by dating and rotating back stock and keeping the storage area organized and condensed daily.
- Follow established guidelines for disposing of damaged, spoiled, or expired products.
- Assist the Fresh Manager with inventory and order processing as needed.
- Clean and sanitize produce equipment, display fixtures, and areas, including the produce cooler and refrigerated display cases.
- Generate signage for produce goods and perform price checks when necessary; ensure items are accurately priced and signed.
- Maintain all club policies and procedures.
- Perform other assigned duties, including working in other departments as needed.
- Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
