About The Position

Caraluzzi's Markets is seeking a dependable, customer-focused Produce Associate to receive, stock, merchandise, and maintain fresh produce while providing excellent customer service and ensuring product quality. The position supports the Produce Department by maintaining attractive displays, fresh products, and an exceptional customer experience. Associates work in a fast-paced environment and must be available for early morning shifts beginning at 5:00 AM, including weekends and holidays as needed.

The role includes physical work throughout the shift and working in a multi-temperature environment, including refrigerated areas. Requirements

• Previous experience in produce, grocery, retail, food service, or customer service is preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lift, move, and organize products in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn and support team members.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be available for early morning shifts beginning at 5:00 AM, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. regularly.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to work in a multi-temperature environment, including refrigerated areas.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and organize fresh produce deliveries.
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise fruits and vegetables according to company standards.
• Maintain fresh, attractive, and well-organized produce displays.
• Inspect products for quality, freshness, and proper rotation.
• Assist customers with friendly service and answers to product-related questions.
• Maintain food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards throughout the department.
• Support daily department operations, including inventory replenishment and organization.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
