The Production Line Worker performs packaging and assembly tasks on production lines, including applying or inserting caps and pumps, orienting and grouping products for automated taping, coding, and wrapping, loading products onto lines or trays, and packing products or literature into shrink sleeves, shippers, and packers. The role also involves forming cartons and shippers, inspecting and cleaning products for quality and cosmetic concerns, and moving packaged products onto pallets according to specified patterns. The worker may also tighten caps, scrape trays, hand-stamp codes, and hand-tape boxes and shippers. At the end of each shift or during mechanical downtime, the worker cleans the line by sweeping floors, counting and moving rejects, removing trash, and breaking down and palletizing empty corrugate for recycling. Employees must train and work on all lines, rotate to a different line position every two hours, and relieve other line workers when needed. They are expected to complete their own work at the required production pace, meet or exceed output requirements while minimizing waste, follow instructions from the Line Leader, Supervisor, or Hayward management, attend monthly safety meetings, and comply with facility safety and GMP requirements, including using required personal protective equipment.
