About The Position

The Procurement Officer supports sourcing and procurement for the SR400 Express Lanes Project in Atlanta, a $4.6 billion roadway project delivered through a public-private partnership led by FlatironDragados and ACCIONA. The project includes design, construction, long-term operation, and maintenance of the corridor for 50 years. The role helps ensure projects have high-quality materials, products, and services so teams can deliver work on time and within budget.

The Procurement Officer evaluates vendors, communicates procurement policies, maintains procurement records and analytics, supports Accounts Payable reconciliation, and assists with contract creation and negotiation under the guidance of a procurement manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Construction Management.
• Introductory knowledge of Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel, and general knowledge of database utilization.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently and accurately.
• Ability to identify, track, and communicate project plan steps and actions.
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently to meet fixed deadlines, goals, and objectives.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of related construction experience.
• JD Edwards E1 World experience.

Responsibilities

• Qualify and evaluate vendors of materials, subcontractors, and service providers for recommendation to the Procurement Manager or others for project use.
• Communicate and enforce procurement policies and procedures with district and project teams.
• Collect and maintain procurement analytics, reporting, and deliverables.
• Maintain records of goods ordered and received and support Accounts Payable reconciliation.
• Help create and negotiate contracts under the supervision and guidance of a procurement manager.
