About The Position

The Procurement Analyst – Global Operations is based in Sugar Land, Texas, and partners with global and regional procurement teams, the global finance shared service center, and department buyers on Source-to-Pay activities. These activities include vendor onboarding, material pricing, converting purchase requisitions to purchase orders, and managing invoice disputes. The role serves as a subject matter expert in processes, systems, or compliance.

The analyst will participate in testing and executing the future Source-to-Pay environment, work with suppliers to create punch-out or hosted catalogs, convert requisitions to orders for materials and services not covered by catalogs, and train end users on current and future procurement processes. The role also maps and standardizes end-to-end processes across legacy organizations, supports procurement operations and master data, and contributes to Scope 3 emissions tracking and supply-chain sustainability efforts.

If selected, employment begins with ChampionX and is planned to transition to SLB as part of the integration following SLB’s acquisition of ChampionX.

Requirements

• Five years of professional experience in procurement, shared services, process excellence, or a business transformation role.
• Experience mapping and redesigning processes.
• Strong expertise in Source-to-Pay process mapping, analysis, and standardization.
• Demonstrated ability to identify, quantify, and implement process-efficiency improvements and standardization initiatives.
• Strong SAP Procurement experience in a procurement, shared services, or process excellence environment.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to use data and metrics for decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Problem-solving experience evaluating systems, workflows, and process controls.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment across legacy organizations and business functions.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and documentation skills.
• Ability to present information effectively and respond to questions from suppliers and internal customers.
• Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment, with attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Integrity, accountability, and a continuous improvement mindset.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience with a Source-to-Pay platform such as GEP or SAP Ariba.

Responsibilities

• Map and document end-to-end Source-to-Pay processes across legacy organizations, including sourcing, contracting, purchasing, invoicing, and payment activities.
• Develop recommendations and roadmaps to improve process efficiency, automation, simplification, and standardization.
• Support change management and implementation activities for transitioning to common ways of working.
• Support day-to-day procurement operations across core procurement processes and serve as a key resource and subject matter expert.
• Perform Source-to-Pay activities such as vendor onboarding, material pricing, purchase requisition-to-purchase order conversion, and invoice dispute management.
• Maintain procurement master data and ensure compliance with established processes and policies.
• Support procurement reporting and operational performance reviews.
• Participate in testing and execution of the future Source-to-Pay process environment.
• Collaborate with suppliers to create punch-out or hosted catalogs.
• Convert purchase requisitions to purchase orders for materials and services not covered by catalogs.
• Train end users on current and future procurement processes.
• Support Scope 3 emissions tracking and reporting by collecting sustainability and emissions data from suppliers.
• Monitor supplier data collection, validate data quality, and help identify opportunities to improve supply-chain sustainability performance.
• Lead cross-functional workshops and collaborate with stakeholders across global organizations.
