Processor and Retail Stock Associate
About The Position
Goodwill Industries of Akron is hiring an entry-level Processor and Retail Stock Associate to help prepare donated goods for resale and support the organization’s community mission. The role sorts and inspects donated items for quality and salability, including textiles, furniture, appliances, small household wares, novelty items, books, toys, decorations, and sporting goods. Electronic merchandise is tested to determine whether it operates safely. Goods are sorted, hung, tagged, priced, and prepared for resale, and accurate reports are completed as required throughout the day. The associate also helps promote the development of service participants and maintains a clean, hazard-free work area while following safe equipment operating procedures. Goodwill Industries of Akron serves Summit, Portage, Medina, Ashland, and Richland counties. Its mission is to help individuals prepare for, find, and retain employment. Requirements
- Ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds.

- Previous customer service experience; retail or food service experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities
- Sort donated goods and textiles while meeting Goodwill quality control standards.
