Processing Specialist I -Second Shift 2:00pm to 10:00pm

About The Position

A Processing Specialist sets up, operates, and maintains machines used to cut, shape, and prepare steel materials according to customer job specifications. Equipment may include tube lasers, tube benders, flat lasers, press brakes, plasma cutters, and saws. The role includes preparing and inspecting materials, packaging completed goods, and maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work area.

Requirements

Able to read and comprehend work orders, instructions, and safety and procedural manuals.
Able to understand written and verbal communication in English.
Able to use and interpret a tape measure and other measuring instruments as required.
Able to drive a forklift and operate an overhead crane; the company will train and certify.

Responsibilities

Set up machines and calibrate equipment to meet customer specifications.
Load and unload material into and out of machines, adjusting material as needed.
Perform in-process inspections and maintain high-quality output standards.
Package finished goods for customer delivery or floor stock, including palletizing and banding when requested.
Maintain a clean work site and follow proper housekeeping practices.
Perform duties safely and efficiently, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
Immediately report accidents, incidents, and unsafe acts or conditions.
