About The Position
kdc/one is seeking a hands-on Process Optimization Engineer to improve manufacturing processes at its Groveport, Ohio location. The role focuses on making production more efficient, productive, and reliable while improving product quality. The engineer will work closely with production teams and spend time on the manufacturing floor identifying and implementing improvements.
Requirements
- Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of process optimization and continuous improvement.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, root cause analysis, or similar methodologies.
- Comfort working on the production floor.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with different teams.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in cosmetics, personal care, chemicals, food, or other high-volume manufacturing environments.
Responsibilities
- Improve manufacturing efficiency, productivity, and product quality.
- Troubleshoot production challenges and identify root causes of recurring issues.
- Reduce downtime, waste, and process variation.
- Lead continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, and other problem-solving tools.
- Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering to improve processes.
- Use production data to identify opportunities and measure results.
- Help implement new processes, equipment improvements, and best practices.
