About The Position

Maersk Warehousing and Distribution USA LLC is seeking a Forklift Operator for its Groveport, Ohio location. This direct-hire role focuses on moving products throughout the warehouse using material-handling equipment and requires the ability to operate manual handling equipment in accordance with local legislation. The schedule is 8:00 AM–6:30 PM, four 10-hour shifts from Wednesday through Saturday, on first shift. The operator supports warehouse and transportation operations by pulling routes from manifests, staging freight, helping drivers load and unload trucks, and performing material-handling tasks such as picking, packing, scanning, kitting, and counting. The role requires accurate and timely completion of packaging and system work, safe equipment operation, and compliance with TSA and OSHA guidelines. The position pays $24.00 per hour.

Requirements

Must be forklift certified.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience using an RF scan gun is required.
Must be able to use forklifts, pallet jacks, and banding or shrink-wrap material.
Must be able to work overtime as needed and occasional weekends.
Must be able to read and comprehend work instructions.
Must be able to work well with others, including with little supervision.
High attention to detail.
Must be able to lift more than 50 pounds unassisted.
Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.

Nice To Haves

Previous warehouse experience; one year of experience is noted.
Previous forklift certifications.

Responsibilities

Use manifests to pull routes, stage freight, and assist drivers with loading and unloading trucks.
Perform material-handling tasks such as picking, packing, scanning, kitting when applicable, and counting products.
Complete packaging and system work accurately and on time.
Identify and annotate overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D).
Safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
Read and follow detailed instructions in a fast-paced environment.
Maintain a safe and secure work environment in accordance with TSA and OSHA guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned.
