About The Position

McKee Foods is seeking a Process Mechanic to join its Maintenance team. The role installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs equipment needed for manufacturing in the process area, and performs other related duties as needed. This is an onsite, second-shift position in Stuarts Draft, Virginia. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.; other days and hours may be needed. Pay is $32.83–$38.29 per hour depending on experience and qualifications, plus a $1.00-per-hour shift differential for hours worked on second shift.

Requirements

Working knowledge and thorough understanding of pneumatics, power transmissions such as chain drives, pumps, valves, and bearing application.
Technical maintenance training.
Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve mechanical equipment issues.
Ability to read mechanical blueprints and drawings.
Accurate measuring ability.
Ability to furnish personal tools as required on the Process Mechanic tool list.
Demonstrated ability to promote continuous process improvement and LEAN principles.

Nice To Haves

Sketching ability.
Four years of industrial maintenance experience.
Experience as a Maintenance Utility at McKee Foods.
Hydraulics experience.
Ability to obtain and maintain an L.T.O. Lift Truck Operator license.
Electrical training at a technical school.
Basic welding and fabrication.
Basic machine shop.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all equipment necessary to the manufacturing function in the process area.
Perform other related duties as needed.
