As an Engineering Intern within Covestro, incumbents will be responsible for a wide range of engineering activities to support day-to-day and ongoing projects. Candidates must be available for a 3-month assignment during the Summer of 2027 (May to August).

Requirements

• Enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program at the time of the internship which is May 2027 to August 2027
• Chemical Engineering major
• Completion of sophomore year, entering junior year, as of May 2027.

• Overall minimum GPA of 3.0
• Previous internship or co-op experience

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day and ongoing projects.
• Improve plant reliability, safety, compliance with environmental requirements, and profitability.
• Execute capital projects.
• Assist units with day-to-day operational and maintenance needs.
• Use methodologies to eliminate defects or optimize processes.
• Contribute to a meaningful mission and demonstrate potential through a wide variety of projects.
• Assist in developing process improvements and creatively solving process-related problems for Covestro's chemical plants in the U.S.
